My Name is Peter Woodall and I am the new MZ Riders rep from 2021. I started riding a motorcycle back in 1990 on a Honda CM125 which I sold upon passing my test switching to an XJ900 to a CBR600 and by 1993 I was riding the all new Fireblade. After a trip to the TT in 93 I started to understand the joys of riding fast. I did my first trackday at Mallory Park in 94 at which I highsided at Gerrards and wrote the Fireblade off, it somersaulted 4 times! This didn’t put me off and I was hooked.
My first race was with Bemsee on a CBR 600 at the last meeting of the year at Brands in 1996. The following year I competed in the Novice 600 championship alongside Shane Byrne although the only time he was alongside me was when he was lapping me! I won my first race at Lydden in 1998. I started competing in Powerbike or Forza Extreme as it was known in 2006. Results starting improving and by 2010 I managed to finish 3rd overall in the MRO Powerbike championship. A change was needed, as by now me and my wife Jenni had 3 children Eve, Jessica and William and a new cheaper racing option was required.
I had a go at the MZ experience which was an experience for sure and after 3 years of learning how to get the hang of such a unique race bike, I won my first MZ Championship in 2016. I briefly dipped back into Powerbikes in 2017/18 but found myself back in the MZ’s in 2019. I won the shortened 2020 Championship at the last round at Brands Hatch.
As MZ rider rep I look forward to helping out with any issues the MZ riders may have and of course to give out any advice I may have acquired over the last 25 years.
