Naked & Super Naked Class Representative
I first joined Bemsee back in 2016 after getting my race licence, and I’ve raced with the club every year since—apart from the Covid break, when none of us were allowed out to play. Before tarmac, my background was Motocross; I raced from being a young kid right up until 2005, when a small spill brought that chapter to a pretty abrupt end.
Switching to short‑circuit racing has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Over the years I’ve competed in Thunderbike Extreme, Powerbikes, Thunderbike Sport, and now the Super Naked class. I love Bemsee as a club and have always wanted to be more involved. I spent a couple of years as an instructor, which was incredibly rewarding, but trying to prep myself for a full race weekend and instruct at the same time became a bit much. The guys who manage both are absolute superheroes in my opinion.
When the opportunity came up to be Class Representative for the Naked and Super Naked class, I jumped at it. It’s a brilliant chance to help develop a new class within Bemsee and support riders who want to get involved.
Outside of racing… well, who really cares? It’s mostly just the boring stuff that funds the pot of money needed to go racing. But when I’m not at the track (or in the garage preparing to go to the track), I do enjoy taking my Bulldog, Barry, to the pub for a couple of beers.
If you’re interested in racing in the Naked or Super Naked class at Bemsee, please don’t hesitate to give me a shout. I’ll do my best to answer any questions you’ve got—and if I don’t know the answer, I’ll go and find it for you
