My name is Matt Hinnells, or "Foo" as I'm known in and around the paddock. I have been riding motorbikes since I were 11 on anything I could throw my leg over. 11years ago I brought my 1st track bike (Suzuki GSXR K2) as my mate had brought one also, and thought I'd give riding on track ago.
After doing many track days, my mate thought he'd have a go at getting his race licence and race his bike. Needless to say I followed. In 2006 I competed in my 1st ever race, it was in the Rookie 600's. Man what a rude awakening!!!! But after that steep learning curve of that weekend, I was 100% hooked and couldn't get enough. 10 years on I'm still doing it and loving every minute of it, meeting new friends and new challenges along the way.
I currently race in the Thunder Bike Extreme class my a 02 Aprilia Mille, which I have raced since 2015, and proudly finished 2nd in the Championship for the last 2 seasons. Previous to that I was competing in the awesome Minitwin class for 6 years learning my trade along the way.
Being appointed as the Thunderbikes Extreme riders rep I look forward to helping out with any questions and issues any of you may have. I am always about the paddock, and always happy to have a chat.
