It’s with great sadness that the Club records the death of one of its Members last weekend at the first BSB event at Donington Park.

Mick Whalley first rode with Bemsee in the 2014 season as a Rookie 600. With significant bike problems in his first season he repeated his Rookie year in 2015. Those problems persisted and he finally bought a Yamaha R1 for 2016. As he’d hardly finished a race the Club let him ride in Rookie 1000 in 2016 – he gained second in the Championship overall.

Well liked in the paddock, Mick was a lively personality and will be missed by many. When the news broke whilst we were all at Cadwell the paddock was shocked and saddened at the news. The Club’s thoughts are with Kayleigh, his wider family and friends at this difficult time.
