AND SO ARE POWERBIKES...
The Club recently announced new sponsors in the top 1000 and 600 classes. We also took the decision to simplify the many sub-classes within each group. Everyone on the grid will be competing for the main Championships again…so we’ve chosen to re-introduce the MRO Title for our Premier 1000’s, 600’s and our Minitwins for 2013.
This is a return to a title many of us will recall - one that defines this class as a top breeding ground for riders moving to higher National levels as well as a home for high quality riders who compete for the pure joy of the sport at Club level. The series format is as already announced, covered here in the 2013 BMCRC Classes list:
2013 Classes List
Morello Services has agreed to extend the sponsorship already announced for 1000’s to now include prize money per race, year-end prizes and entry fee discounts for loyal riders.
The 1000’s Series will be called: The Morello Services MRO Powerbikes. There will be an MRO Clubman 1000 title within this series. Whilst the phrase "1000" is being used - both these classes will run with "Open rules".
End of season prizes: £1000 for 1st - £500 for 2nd - £250 for 3rd - these prizes for both the main Series and the Clubman Series
Prizes will also assist riders in affording a full season. The total package is now worth around £10,000 with all the money going to riders during the course of the season. Riders will receive an £80 discount off entry fees at every third meeting*. Riders don’t have to do the full season to benefit as they will get the discount for their third meeting wherever that falls and for every subsequent third meeting. *Covers the first 25 entries received for each meeting.
Each of the 34 races in the Series will have cash prizes awarded:
1st - £50, 2nd - £30, 3rd - £20 in addition there will also be a "Rider of the Day" Spot Prize of £50 awarded on Saturday evening, judged by Richard Ringrow.
The Club is delighted to welcome this extended support from Morello Services.

The 600’s are supported by prizes per round from Team Respro for 2013 and this class will be retitled: The Team Respro MRO 600 Championship, there will be an MRO Clubman 600 title within this series.
We are delighted to again welcome the support of Team Respro at Bemsee in 2013.

To complete the trio, the main BMCRC Minitwins series will carry the title, The MRO Minitwins Championship. The BMCRC Junior Minitwins and BMCRC Rookie Minitwins competitions will still continue.
Further announcements will be made on new sponsors for 2013 as they are secured; continued work is on-going in this area.
